Primary Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced CA to oversee our overall general accounting function by controlling and verifying our financial operations.

Main responsibilities include all applicable tax returns filing, Corporate law compliance, Import and Export related documentation, reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures. Candidate should be able to combine their analytical skills and knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.

Other responsibilities also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all our accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

They include, but are not limited to;

  • Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare and input journal entries (monthly, adjusting, recurring, allocation, accrual generation and reversal, prepaid accounting, and rectifications)
  • Complete monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing procedures
  • Maintain the monthly balance sheet, including P&L and expense fluctuation analysis
  • Process payroll, able to compute and verify applicable taxes, Provident Fund and applicable gratuity working.
  • Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and yearly Income Tax returns filing for company and employees.
  • Ensure submission of tax collection/deduction at source.
  • Ensure accurate sales Tax adjustment and returns filing for the company.
  • Able to prepare perform Import / Export related documentation and liaison with various parties like, Banks, Custom, Port authorities, other Govt. departments.
  • Able to compute and record Product cost, import cost schedule & inland cost tracking.
  • Able to perform Items wise cost calculations; taking effect of repacking & cost conversions.
  • Ensure accurate accounting treatment of foreign exchange transactions and reserves on financial statements.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with US/Local GAAP and compliance to internal policies.
  • Perform all Corporate compliance matters and Corporate secretarial practices as required by Corporate Authorities.
  • Coordinate closely with IT, Procurement, HR, and administrative teams to ensure compliance of company policies.
  • Perform fixed assets management
  • Prepare assets and tax schedules for audit purpose.
  • Represent and communicate with the internal/external auditor during corporate financial audits.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Accountant or Senior Accountant, Financial Analyst, Finance Manager.
  • Thorough knowledge and In-depth understanding of Local and Global Accounting Standard Procedures (Local/US GAAP, IFRS)
  • Good Analytical skills of financial accounting statements
  • Thorough knowledge of Corporate, Direct and Indirect local taxes applicable.
  • Hands-on experience with known accounting software packages.
  • Advanced MS Excel, MS PowerPoint skills.
  • Relevant Professional Certification CA, CMA, ACCA or CPA.
